Thank You Card

 Hello everyone,

I received a card from Cards for Kindness, a handwritten note, thanking me for the cards I send.  I always receive an email once they've received my cards so I was quite happy when I received this one from them.  I'm sure all who donate get this card, which takes a lot of work since the organization received over 250k cards and distributed them to other charities.  How cool is that?

To show my appreciation, I am sending this card to these ladies with a little note inside.  I found this tutorial on YouTube from a Stampin' Up! demonstrator.  I added the belly band to keep it flat.

I haven't ordered the coffee themed designer series paper because I bought a set from Echo Park some months ago.  I love this paper.

I enjoyed making this card and the tutorial was very easy to follow.

I wish they made tea themed paper as well but I have not been able to find any.  However, I do have lots of tea stickers but those go on my journal notebooks and such.

My Favorite Stamp

 Hello everyone,

I just mailed off 22 handmade cards to the charity that I send to each month; time to start making new ones to send off next April.  I forgot to take pictures.

I joined two swaps at Swap-bot.com and made St. Patrick's Day cards but those were digitally created.  

Here is one of the cards I'd sent off earlier and it's with one of my favorite stamps: Magnolia Stamps, which were based in the UK back when I became infatuated with them.  They have been around since 1997.  These doll images were the easiest for me to use with Copics.  

Now this one, I paper pieced - something I love doing with these stamps.  I found a card using one of these images from 2011 - yeah, I was just getting into card making.

I was just learning placement of objects like the flowers, the ribbon and even the sentiment; not how I would make them today.  I think I even gave her a necklace with tiny "bling" - that's cute.
