Index Card Pockets

 Hello everyone,

Isn't it great to have autumn in the air? It's also a time that more swaps seem to take place on Swap-bot.com.

I am hosting a swap from a tutorial I saw on Pinkstrawberryz's channel.  Here is what I made for the swap:

I made a few sets of these so that I can angel the swap.  There's so many different ways that the index cards were used to create various projects.  I used washi tape and stickers to decorate.  These will look great in a junk journal, don't you think?

Here is the inside of the pockets that had closures.  I did use one of those metal tab things that holds the paper down as it sits affixed with a brad (see above pic to see what I mean).  The top right picture is a folder that opens up.  This was cool to make.

Do what you LOVE what you do.

Happy Swapping!

Angle Shaped Tag Holder

 Hey y'all,

I just posted a new swap at Swap-bot.com -  it was so much fun to make.

I subscribe to Septeria 18's channel and am always excited at the fun projects she makes.  They are always easy and great to share with others.  Here's what I made for this swap:

Look how cute these came out - I hope my partner will like them.

Here's the tag holder with that little diagonal pocket on the bottom left.  I added a place for journaling on the back of the smaller tag.  I put a tab (Septeria 18 has a tutorial for these, too).

Here's the front.  Notice how I integrated the different kinds of paper: regularly colorful designed paper and book paper - they really work well together.

I am excited to share these with my partner and hope that person will enjoy using them in their journal.

I Met Someone New

 Hello everyone,

I have been meeting a new friend from Swap-bot.com and it was so much fun.  She was my partner for a Blue, Find and Send swap.  Her package was so much fun, I just had to send her a message and let her know how much fun I had enjoyed opening the package.  It was one of a few packages I have received where the person really went above and beyond, sending so much joy and following my profile.

The best part is she lives in the same city as I do, so we decided to meet at our local coffee shop and we shared crafty bits we thought the other might like.  She had given me loads of things and here are some of the images I used to make cards that next day.  Talk about inspiring me!

Aren't these cute bear die cuts adorable on a card? I couldn't resist using them on a handmade greeting card.

We both love House Mouse stamps and talked about what they might look like if not colored since the detail is already on the stamp.  I kept the design simple and look how gorgeous these cards turned out to be.

Don't you love it?

More Cards Created to Donate

 Hello there everyone!

As the weather cools down and the mornings are darker, it's time for autumn to come around the corner - how fun is that?!

I want to share some cards I made that were sent to Cards for Kindness this month (September):

I always check their web page to see what kinds of cards they are in need of.

The front of each card is a digital image that I printed and the inside is layered to give it a thickness that regular cardstock does not have anymore.

When I saw these pretty autumn characters (above), I just had to capture them for this set to send.

Stay tuned, there might be more hosting at Swap-bot.com.

Do what you LOVE what you do.

Let's Make Polaroids

 Hey y'all,

My friend, Audrey and I swap once a month.  This year has been the year of small Polaroids and they have been so much fun to make.  Check this out:

I used Echo Park paper and cut aparts to decorate each Polaroid.  I just love the autumn scene, don't you?

Collage Tags for Junk Journals

 Hi there everyone,

I have another swap that I created on Swap-bot.com, which has to be sent no later than 9/26/2023 - I'm so excited.

I included a link to Pink Monarch Prints to show how she made the little collaged tags for junk journals.  Here's what I made (I'm also going to angel this swap):

These little cuties will be so wonderful in a junk journal, don't you think? I enjoyed putting them together, using different scraps for each layer.  I hope my partner will enjoy using them in his/her journal.

Happy Swapping!

Tag and a Journal Card - I'm Hosting at Swap-bot.com

 Hello everyone!

I created a swap on Swap-bot.com and I'm so excited about it!

The swap is about making a tag and a journal card for your partner to use in his/her junk journal.  I included a link to a video on YouTube but here is what I made (I will angel this swap in case someone flakes).

The tag measures 3 x 5.5 and the journal card measures 3 x 4 (it can be used as a pocket or tuck spot).

I used Kraft paper as the base and added a second tag because it was thin (haven't you noticed how thin regular card stock is - now you need to buy 110 lb. and you'll see it is the feel of what regular card stock used to be).  I added book pages that I had coffee dyed to the front and decorated the tags and added plain (thin) card stock to the back for journaling.

Aren't these super fabulous? I hope my partner will enjoy what I send.  These have to be sent no later than 9/25/2023.

Stay tuned - there's another swap that I created! :-P

Autumn Folio for my Friend Audrey

  Howdy y'all,

With autumn comes all the pretty colors that I just enjoy so much, so I decided to make this folio that I saw on someone's YouTube channel - it was too cute to resist.

I had one kit (12 x 12 papers and a sticker sheet) from Echo Park that had the best fall season images that would be so cute for this project.

Check it out:

I love the simplicity of the folio and look at those cute tags in the pocket.

With the paper pack came these adorable cut aparts that I've inserted.

Look at the side pocket and the cute vellum pocket - the background is perfect, isn't it?

I found these images through Google clipart, printed them and fussy cut them out.  I used my Big Shot and some metal dies to make the tags that are stitch embossed - super cute!

Don't you just love the fall?

Crafters...We Have a Problem...

 Hey y'all,

What do you do when your mojo has packed itself up and run away?

Do you sit in front of your laptop, watching various YouTube channels hoping to get the inspiration you need to be creative and produce something fantastic?

Or do you just click on hour long episodes of Judge Judy and hope to be entertained with her wit and judgments?

Here's what I do:

I often have digital images around that I can color and then fussy cut.  Yes, it can be mundane and tiresome but it helps to build my stash.  With these images, I actually printed them on colored card stock and cut their outfits out to complete the look.  Cutting was a pain in the butt for some, but aren't these Tilda Magnolia images the cutest?

Now, when I need an image to make a card, I have plenty to choose from.

Stay tuned for more fun.

Bee-themed Collab

Hello everyone, I participated in an open collab on my You Tube channel where the theme was surrounded around bees and any "doll...
