I am Glued to Washi Tape

 Hey y'all,

I had said that I was going to stop purchasing washi tape since I had sent a truck load of it to the Goodwill, but while browsing on Amazon's website for something else, I found some washi tape I could not resist.

Look at how cute these are:

Look at the different themes and they are clearly visible so that you can tell what is there in the scene.

There are 50 different rolls that come in this pack, from an autumn scene to winter, which is a great variety (3 of them were not suitable so I tossed it in the Goodwill bag).

I had to measure to see how much tape would on the roll and you can see that there is quite a bit before the white core that it is rolled around.

Okay, I won't look at washi tape for the rest of this year.  Sometimes I join the swaps over at Swap-bot.com that are specifically for washi tape and have received some pretty cool ones, so I'm set (for now).

Happy Crafting!

Cards for Kindness

 Hello everyone,

I want to send cards to this charity I found on the Scrapbook.com site, Cards for Kindness.  Because I want to send a little more than the minimum (10), I tend to keep the cards simple.  Here's what I sent for July:

Here are the ones I sent for August:

I used some of the die cuts I had on hand for a summery vibe.

Keep cool and happy crafting!

What's Happening...

Hello peeps,

I'm not going to talk about the weather...it's too draining...

But I have been crafting and swapping (Swap-bot.com).  I usually just engage in paper swaps, though I must say there are far too many post card swaps.  I understand why because the postage (.51) will be cheaper and if you add extra papers and go over the 1 ounce for a first class stamp (.66), it could cost you a lot more (especially if it doesn't go through that 1/4 inch slot), starting at $4.95 because it then becomes a "package" not an envelope.

This is the pocket letter for one of the specific groups I am in (Pocket Letter) where you have this rainbow theme and have to put like minded "goodies" inside the pocket.

These are little cute Polaroids that I swap with my friend, Audrey.  We have been swapping for about 8 years now.  Her work is amazing - I'll have to share some of the cute things she's sent me through the years.

So stay tuned.

It's Time to Look at my Card Project for Charities

I really enjoy making cards and was able to send a bunch to the elderly for August:

I chose a summer vibe type of card image and where there is room, I added a greeting with their name to personalize it and inside wrote a note according to what was dictated in the instructions.  Click Here if you'd like to send cards to the elderly - they really appreciate it.

It's Hot Out There

 Hey y'all,

I hope you are staying cool - I'm trying to...but I can't stop crafting, now can I?

I started this afghan when I worked nights (this crochet stitch kept me up in between the telephone calls):

Blue is my favorite color and this one is using the Chevron stitch, a stitch you have to count in order to keep that Chevron striped shape, so you have to pay attention.

My plan is to finish it by the end of the month.  So stayed tuned to see the progress I make.  Afghans are great for winter months when it's cold but they can add to the heat when you are crocheting them.

Happy Crafting!  Stay cool!

Bee-themed Collab

Hello everyone, I participated in an open collab on my You Tube channel where the theme was surrounded around bees and any "doll...
