Junk Journaling

 Hello there,

Just wanted to share some of my junk journaling:

I have about a half dozen of these little books to journal in, each with a different subject.  I prefer the bullet style because you can barely see the dots but they're enough to keep my artistic style structured.

Here's another set of pages from one of the books entitled, "What I Like".

Journaling is a good outlet for being artistic, but it helps when I am trying to comprehend times when my anxiety is high.

I went back to Swap-bot.com and it has been, for the most part, fabulous.  Here's a crafty swap I completed and just waiting to be partnered up and send it off.

This is the front of the collaged tag, referenced by a video on 49dragonflies.  I was able to use lace in place of fabric.  I stamped down the sewing stitches to give it that look of being sewn.  The tag was accidentally created upside down, which is how those joining had to make it.

Here is the back with a different kind of lace - the base is upside down, as well.  I hope my partner will like it.  I will add some other crafty bits if it's something that I have and is on my partner's profile.  That's the fun part, too - surprising your partner with something fun from the profile page.

Happy Crafting!

Cards for the Elderly

 Hello everyone,

The heat is on...literally...I looked at the clock around 10am and saw that it was 78 degrees F... ugh...I've never been a summer person at all...🌞

So here are the cards I made and sent to those elderly from this site:

As you can see, the cards are very simple.  I preferred to spend more time on writing the appropriate conversation for the letter than make the cards pretty.  I'll find a simple card that is cuter for the next mailing.

Please feel free to join in by clicking the url above.

Happy Summer!

Cards for Hospitalized Kids

 Howdy y'all,

Here are the cards I sent to the Cards for Hospitalized Kids program for the month of July:

I do keep the cards simple which allows me to make more for the cause.  There are instructions on how to make and what to include.  There are restrictions on what to write on the outside as well as the inside, which helped.

If you would like to help, click on the link above and see how the program works.

In the next post, I show you cards I made and sent for the elderly.

Cards for Donations

 Hello everyone,

I had planned to send my hoard of greeting cards to a charity but never did until I received a flyer from Scrapbook.com with information about their program, Cards for Kindness.  You make cards and they send them to various charities located all over the country.  So here are the cards I sent for June:

Making my greeting cards that can uplift others makes this craft even more of a joy.

I found another charity through a swap at swap-bot.com where my partner wrote me about her writing to the elderly as one of her tasks that she is enjoying.  I researched Google and found a charity to brighten up the days of the elderly - so stay tuned for those cards that went out earlier this month.

We all can make a difference.

It's Never Too Late...

 Hello everyone,

I have been trying to do the blog thing again because it is less stressful.  As you can see, time has lapsed and I haven't added much here.  Well, here's what I've been up to:

I've made a few shakers to add to some of the cards.

I have always enjoyed making greeting cards and decided to concentrate on making these instead of crafting everything I see (I'm not really into that many things now that I've gotten older; concentrating on one or two things suits me better).

Stay tuned to see the cards I made and donated to worthy causes.

Do what you love.

Bee-themed Collab

Hello everyone, I participated in an open collab on my You Tube channel where the theme was surrounded around bees and any "doll...
